Join Cheryl for a Knitaway®
in the Studio
You'll arrive at the Studio on Wednesday afternoon for
an introductory get together, then spend the next three and a
half days immersed in workshops in Cheryl's knitting studio in the historic
Highlands district of Denver, Colorado.
The morning workshop topic is "Shawls from the Center: beautiful starts for centered lace knitting". Afternoon sessions
will be guided tutorial, time to work on your class project, ask knitting
questions or get personalized answers for your projects. Knitters of
all levels are welcome. The workshop size is limited to 8 knitters
so there will be plenty of individual attention.
2012 Knitaway®
in the Studio tuition, including over 20 hours of workshop and opening/closing
get togethers, is $345 per person.
If you are coming form out of town, there are many hotels within a few miles of the Studio ranging from the Hampton Inn to the Ritz Carlton (really!) and many lovely places in between. A list of lodging, dining, and entertainment suggestions will be provided with registration confirmation.
The Studio is nestled in the Highlands historic district, a wonderful neighborhood to explore with some of Denver's most popular shops and restaurants within easy walking distance.
May and October are both gorgeous times of the year in Colorado and you might want to extend your stay to enjoy a day in the mountains or take in the Denver Art Museum. And don't forget that we have several beautiful yarn shops in the metro area!

Shawl Study Workshop
All skill levels welcome! A new session starts each month.
Do you love to knit shawls or want to learn more about knitted shawls both classic and contemporary? Then come join Cheryl at the Studio for the Shawl Study Workshop. Whether you are new to lace and shawl knitting, working on a shawl from Folk Shawls, have your eye on one of the gorgeous shawls you've seen on Ravelry or want to design your own, this is the class for you. In each class we will have a tutorial on a tradtional shawl construction, style, or technique, explore more of the expanding world of contemporary shawl knitting, then focus on your own shawl projects.
(particular topics will vary weekly, teacher's choice, with student input very welcome!). Get the guidance, tools and techniques that you need to make your shawl knitting an exciting and successful experience.
The workshop will meet twice a month on the dates indicated for 2 hour class sessions, from 6:30 - 8:30 pm at the Studio, 3319 Newton St. in Denver.
